The TI-92 Plus (or TI-92+) was released in 1998, slightly after the creation of the almost-identical (in terms of software) TI-89, while physically more similar to its predecessor, the TI-92 (which lacked Flash Memory). Besides increased memory over its predecessor, the TI-92 Plus also featured a sharper "true black" screen, which had first appeared on the TI-89.

If memory serves, the 92+ was originally released as a "Plus Module" that plugged into a standard TI-92. Contrary to the above quote, this happened before the TI-89 was released (supported by the fact that the TI-92+'s product code is 01, and the TI-89's is 03.). This also means that the original TI-92+ did not have a sharper screen. Additionally, the sharper screen probably did not first appear on the 89, but instead on the TI-73, which (again, if memory serves) predates the 89. Is it necessary to mention the release of the TI-92 Plus and Voyager 200 just before the sections devoted entirely to them? The amount of user-available flash depends on the applications you have installed. After a reset, my TI-92+ has 720876 bytes of flash ROM free. Hoever, the TI-92+ comes with The Geometer's Sketchpad installed, which chews up 300 KB-ish, which I suspect is where the 388 KB "free flash" number comes from. I've uninstalled TGS (which I never used anyhow), so have the full amount of flash available. Counting it this way also brings it into line with the figure for the Voyage 200 which has 2 MB more flash than the TI-92+ and is spec'd at 2.7 MB user-available flash. 150.203.19.142 02:18, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

V200 Successor[edit]

No successor with QUERTY keyboard, but TI-Nspire is probably most advanced TI calculator (at the time of writing). --kb (talk) 18:45, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
