Those with access to JSTOR can find a wealth of materials; this has some interesting points and bibliographical materials. Drmies (talk) 17:04, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This book is much cited and discussed, but this is a question of works that cite the book. This is partly because there is very little in the way of contemporary publication on the iron industry. The most recent article is mine and I think I reviewed all the worthwhile historiograhy and tried in it to produce a worthwhile synthesis. I do not think that it is useful for WP to repeat all the debate about it: some publications are inclined to quote its content completely uncriticially, usually becasue they do not know better. There is also a substantial hisotriography on the transition to mineral fuel in the iron industry, but that does not belong in this article. Peterkingiron (talk) 19:16, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
