Request to add link[edit]

Autigier, I added an external link to http://clubfly.com/gaybars/30309-atlanta-GA/ (Midtown gay bars and clubs) which you found inappropriate. As Midtown is well known as a gay village, I think this is a great free resource. This is not spam, I've run this resource since November 1995 and the site has never ran an ad in 2 years. It's a hobby. I walked around Midtown and took all the pictures of the bars you see on the map personally. I hope you might consider my link to be reincluded. past tense[edit]

In some sentences it seems fine to says "is an award winning show created by so-and-so" but if you look at countless TV shows that have already ended, that I have not edited, you will see the show referred to in past tense. Obviously I'm not planning on saying which ones but I looked around and found some. It seems odd to have a sentence reading for example "Cheers is a tv show that took place in Boston" How can you use past and proper tense in the same sentence and it's correct? I found a few like that once I started looking.Obriensg1 (talk) 06:03, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Think Fast[edit]

I saw that you attempted to delete the information on the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Transit. If you pay attention to the wording. It says the service is proposed. You tried to delete it stating "There's no agency". Meaning you must tried to do some research on the system. But if it's proposed you wouldn't be able to find any info on it. So, next time before you try to delete something that you're unsure about. Don't.

Sorry, but any public transit proposals are covered by the press since they will need public funding, and yet, there has been no press coverage at all of this supposed proposal. If there are no Verifiable, reliable sources for information, it cannot be included in Wikipedia. AUTiger » talk 23:22, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've been working in public transportation for years and I know what i'm talking about. This meeting just passed. And for your records and new mental note. The only public transportation systems that need "public" funding are the ones owned and operated by the public. This system is privately owned. If you need examples I can give you atleast 50 for you to "GOOGLE

-Once again, The Guy Who Works At MARTA and has been for the past decade. Aquariuslove (talk) 02:08, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How long you've worked at MARTA doesn't matter. What matters is the existence of this fictional GMAT. So, which is it? First the article you wrote implied that it was a public-public transportation system and certainly didn't make it clear it was private (as it should, since the vast majority of US public transit is publicly-funded). If it is a private company, what is this meeting that just passed and what does it matter? Passed by whom? Either a private company is capitalized and operating or it's not; "planning to" doesn't matter if nobody (i.e. the public via press) knows. If this new private public transportation ever starts and becomes notable and is written about by reliable sources, then it can become the subject of a properly written article, like, for instance Royal Bus Lines. The only Googling that matters is that which proves the existence and notability of the supposed GMAT you wrote the article about. AUTiger » talk 05:00, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

At the time both pages links seemed very vanilla, so thought about pointing to magazine sites for them. File source problem with File:GrandeuroftheSeas-NOLA.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:GrandeuroftheSeas-NOLA.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. Disambiguation link notification for December 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Southeastern Conference football individual awards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page C.J. Mosley (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Thanks for the note about my signature font tags. I've been away from active editing for quite some time so hadn't left signed messages in ages until a couple of days ago. I've updated it and it should be all good now. AUTiger » talk 06:02, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
