The "List" section especially is in the style of TV Tropes, and the overall page seems to have a lot of fancruft. Also, its uses idoms. --User J. Dalek (talk | contribs) 22:50, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
List of planets[edit]
I think the list of planets should be removed as listcruft. Specifically, it is an overly broad, mostly unreferenced list that is unlikely to improve. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 13:30, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
Still looking bad[edit]
But maybe a total rewrite into a prose-like article could help? And a merger with Fictional planets of the Solar System? @TompaDompa @Daranios Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:59, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
- This is a purely navigational list, so it's about as good as it can get (and way better than it used to be). Now Stars and planetary systems in fiction, on the other hand... TompaDompa (talk) 10:03, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
- @TompaDompa Maybe we should just delete it? Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:27, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
- Which one? TompaDompa (talk) 16:06, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
- @TompaDompa This very article here. Or should it be a list or a disambig? It is not a B-class (current assessment), sigh. And if it is a list, should this be renamed to a list of planets in science fiction? Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 00:54, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
- It is a list, certainly. It's basically just a directory of which science fiction planets have stand-alone Wikipedia articles. I'm not particularly attached to either the list's existence or its current title. TompaDompa (talk) 01:14, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
- If it is a list, I've moved it to relevant title. Not sure if this meets LISTN but probably it does... some sourcing would be nice. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 01:19, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
- I mean,
Lists that fulfill recognized informational, navigation, or development purposes often are kept regardless of any demonstrated notability.
Not that I am convinced that this is a particularly helpful navigational list. TompaDompa (talk) 01:23, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
