The article said that Ashby was captain of HMS Defiant. I can't find any evidence that there was a Defiant in the Royal Navy in the 17th century, so I took a guess and changed the text to refer to HMS Defiance (1675), a seventy-four. Gdr 13:33, 2005 Mar 19 (UTC)
