Aptiv's roots in Packard Electric[edit]

Delphi Packard Electric Systems redirects to Aptiv, yet there is no mention of Packard Electric in Aptiv's history section. To imply that Aptiv's history began in 1994, without mentioning it's roots in Packard Electric of Warren Ohio, which existed as a GM division for the majority of the 20th century, produced key electrical components for millions of cars and trucks under numerous brands across the world, and was divested by GM in the 1990s as part of what would become Delphi, is to overlook a critical part of Aptiv's history and exclude Packard Electric's history from Wikipedia. Agreed. Currently a -very- misleading article, essentially hiding that this "company" 'Automotive Components Group Worldwide' was actually a collection of General Motors parts manufacturers. SmarterAlec (talk) 03:20, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
