You forgot to include the bit about how christopher stayed with the hartys on long island for a week in the summer of 2005. They kindly drove him to his place of work every morning and admired his excellent attitude.

Keep and cleanup: I'm a huge Einstein on the Beach fan, not so much a Robert Wilson fan. For those not knowing the background, Einstein on the Beach was a significant opera by Phillip Glass (his breathrough, really), staged and produced by the avant-garde theater director Robert Wilson. Wilson wanted the text to be entirely unrelated to the logical narrative of Einstein. He had sort of adopted an autistic boy (Christopher Knowles). Knowles's random words became part of the libretto for the opera ("We could get some wind for that sailboat"). Were that the end of it, I would say delete. However, Christopher Knowles wrote a book of poems that was adored by some of the avant-garde, including the major American poet John Ashberry. Consequently, while I think he is a very minor figure in the avant-garde, he is a notable one. If we keep to clean, I will pick it up and add the above to the article. Geogre 13:02, 8 Aug 2004 (UTC)

- Well, to be fair, he's a tough Google for having a relatively common name, and he's not really a guy who gets his name around. Apparently, his autism is profound, but he has worked with Wilson as recently as an adaptation of Umberto Eco's The Island of the Day Before as an opera. Geogre 19:35, 8 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Copied contents without attribution? The last part of this article (inserted in the Revision as of 12:11, 14 May 2013) is copied almost verbatim for a New Yorker article by Eric Konigsberg (published in the April 15, 2013 issue). Although that paper is mentioned in the references, the text itself is not shown as coming from there. --LeMiklos (talk) 14:42, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
