Notable[edit]

What criteria are used to determine notability for this list? I assume a Wikipedia page characterizing someone as an SF author is sufficient, but is it necessary? kdammers

alphabetical by... first name?[edit]

Why are the sections from Q thru Z sorted alphabetically by first name within the group of "last name starts with [letter 2603:8000:7A00:DC46:6D46:2E5A:2157:89CB (talk) 04:55, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Likely someone used a generic sort tool and didn't think to skip the first word. —Tamfang (talk) 01:09, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not that that would always be enough! —Tamfang (talk) 06:23, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

pseudonyms[edit]

Some authors are listed for each of multiple pseudonyms; is that necessary? We could instead append a list of pseudonyms to the primary name. —Tamfang (talk) 06:25, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

particles[edit]

Most of the de names are under D, and van names under V. But Lester del Rey is under both D and R; Paul Di Filippo under F; and Paul van Herck under H.

Is there a policy? Are their personal preferences known? —Tamfang (talk) 06:47, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
