  • "In the 1970s, science-fiction writer Larry Niven wrote about a future where, because of this usage, the word 'beep' itself became a curse word. As of 2005, there is some anecdotal evidence that this is actually happening." Where is said evidence? —Wins oddf| 22:44, Feb 27, 2005 (UTC)

Meep is currently up for AfD. Meep was previously merged with Beep, but after Beep was moved to Beep (sound) and Beep became a disambiguation page, an anon thought the redirect from Meep to the disambiguation page was page vandalism, and reverted it. Anyways, if you want to vote in the AfD, your input would be appreciated. Armedblowfish (talk|contribs) 21:14, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Meep in popular culture?[edit]

Is Wikipedia really served well by having a list of references to the word "meep" in popular culture? Does anybody, well... care that much? ekedolphin 09:11, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Error under sub-heading "Call back request" - verb, not noun[edit]

Error in text 'As a noun, the practice of "beeping" in sub-Saharan Africa' -- that sentence (and indeed the entire paragraph) describes its use as a verb, not as a noun. 2600:8805:B000:890:3127:8A38:A0D9:9A54 (talk) 12:28, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
