Seems like a violation of NPOV[edit]

The first sentence, starting "Cyprus, officially the Republic of Cyprus" does not seem neutral. Cyprus is an island. Turkish Northern Cyprus is undeniably part of Cyprus, but is, de facto, not part of the Republic of Cyprus. One could dispute rather it's a "country", but to assert that it's part of the Republic of Cyprus seems clearly false. If there's a difference between the island and the Republic of Cyprus, the island is the primary topic. If this article won't be split into these two subjects, the first paragraph should not say that the island and the republic are the same thing. Kk.urban (talk) 19:18, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. M.Bitton (talk) 19:55, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
