Shahin or Shaheen, is an Arabic/Persian name which is primarily given to girls, but also for boys at times. The meaning of this name is the Persian term for Royal or falcon, although in specific, the peregrine falcon. The name is used in Persian, Urdu, Kurdish and Turkish-speaking countries.
