I fail to understand why Humbert Humbert qualifies as an unreliable narrator? --Oldak Quill 20:09, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

How about the fact that HH admits himself that he is half-inventing what he narrates? And freely confesses that his account is tendentious, in that it is meant to excuse, if not the rape of Lo, then the murder of her abductor? Lolita is all about the unreliability of memory/narration.
