Creation of new entry for Ambassador College with a redirect page to new entry for Ambassador University, all linking to Worldwide Church of God, et al and The World Tomorrow and Herbert W. Armstrong and Bricket Wood and Art Gilmore. No page entry yet for Ambassador Hall or AICF, but I will work on creating same. MPLX/MH 05:44, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)

For Ambassador Hall read Ambassador Auditorium[edit]

I have corrected this mistake, fortunately I have not created a linking page under the wrong name. I do intend to create one for Ambassador Auditorium. MPLX/MH 06:22, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)

History section implies that Pasadena campus was the last campus to close and that it closed in 1990. Actually Big Sandy closed later. I am not sure of the date though.

Today I received a notice of Ambassador University books being auctioned off near Big Sandy, TX. Here is the email:

100,000 BOOKS TO BE AUCTIONED IN TEXAS

National Book Auctions is pleased to announce that we will be spending September through November of this year, selling approximately 100,000 books from the former Ambassador University campus library in Big Sandy, Texas. The auctions will take place on location at ALERT Academy, One Academy Boulevard (Route 80, approximately 2 miles east of Big Sandy) and will be organized into Friday evening and Saturday afternoon pairs of auctions, combined with library-style book sales. Each weekend will include approximately 800 lots, containing nearly 10,000 books. The first auctions will be on September 22 and 23rd and complete catalogs will soon be available for previewing at our website. Later auction dates will be posted as they are scheduled, stay tuned to our website for updated information.

This library is a complete university campus facility with full Library of Congress categorization and has been closed since 1997. The library's closing pre-dates the advent of internet book selling and this is the first time this inventory has been put to market. Over the three-month period, we will systematically move through the library, following the classifications. The library contains a high percentage of antique books including many landmark texts of significant value. We will be organizing the auction lots into individual titles, small groups and boxlots. This is a rare opportunity to access a massive collection of strong dealer inventory and collectible titles including thousands of antique books and limited print scholarly works.
