Will there be any coverage on the residents' buses (邨巴)?

To unnamed commentor: Welcome to Wiki. Since Wiki is open to all to edit, you might work on it if you feel fit. I myself would restraint from working on this seriously except on the part of Citybus, since there was nothing really significant on their part, except providing excellent express service and creating some chaos. If anyone could put in more in this area then I'll be happy to contribute --XF95.邪 13:13, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Bus drivers - gender[edit]

This may sound odd, but should we include bus companies' different willingness to employ female drivers over the years? This is not an attempt to make a feminist micro-history of buses: the refusal by CMB to employ female drivers had real effects. In the 1993 my husband's colleague was killed by a 70-year-old male driver who was no longer fit to drive, but had been brought out of retirement because of a shortage of drivers: CMB were declining to employ women. Meanwhile, Citybus were making newspaper headlines by employing a woman driver (first ever?).

I'll take this under advisement - if people think it's a daft thing to include, then clearly it shouldn't go in! Cheers, JackyR 22:51, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
