Rohirric[edit]

During the writing of The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien toyed with the idea of making Taliska the primordial tongue of the people of Rohan who spoke Old English in his translated setting of The Lord of the Rings.

This could be clearer. He considered using Taliska (rather than OE) in the book? Or merely that maybe OE is to be considered as the translation of Taliska (rather than of a distant cousin of Taliska)? —Tamfang (talk) 02:45, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
