The claim that there are "only about 500" Chinese-Cubans appears to be grossly inaccurate. For example, the 2006 World Almanac says that Chinese-Cubans account for 1% of Cuba's population of over 11 million. Even if the Almanac is off by a factor of 10, this still means more than 20 times as many Chinese-Cubans as the article states. -- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.145.98.94 (talk • contribs) 04:12, 20 November 2006

Photo of girl[edit]

I know that the photo source describes her as Chinese, but do you think he actually asked her ? Does she look Chinese to you ?

The Cubans describe anyone with even a slight asian look to their features as "chino" or "china" - that doesn't make them chinese, though. -- Beardo 17:58, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you can't really speak for all Cubans, you know? The girl does look and seem to have Chinese background from her looks alone. On the description of the picture in the website he wrote "A Cuban girl of African and Chinese heritage takes a break from her work at a Chinese restaurant in Barrio Chino."

Another thing, i don't doubt the photographer asked her. I checked out his page, he has a section on Barrio China in Havana. [1]. LaNicoya •TALK• 18:32, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
