- History of the People's Republic of China (1949–1976) → History of China (1949–1976)
- History of the People's Republic of China (1976–1989) → History of China (1976–1989)
- History of the People's Republic of China (1989–2002) → History of China (1989–2002)
- History of the People's Republic of China (2002–present) → History of China (2002–present)
– These articles are in line with the history of China which primarily is the People's Republic of China. Interstellarity (talk) 22:38, 16 June 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 08:07, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Weak oppose. I think part of the problem is the nominator's use of the word "is" while retroactively applying an evolving terminology. Should Republic of China (1912–1949) be moved to History of China (1912–1949)? — BarrelProof (talk) 03:10, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
- No, because that is a polity page not a history page. Theoretically parts of History of the Republic of China could be split off into that date range, if content expansion called for it. CMD (talk) 07:27, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- Comment This is a question of disambiguation options and how disambiguation carries down. History of the People's Republic of China is a naturally disambiguated subarticle of History of China covering 1949 onwards. The articles in question at this RM are all taking that already disambiguated pagename as a base and disambiguating from that. This is perhaps unnecessary double-disambiguation, but may also clearly indicate the disambiguation tree to the reader. (The natural disambiguation is common to other History of China subarticles, such as History of the Han dynasty and History of the Jin dynasty (266–420), but I did not find at a quick look subarticles of those to comprare.) - Oppose. This article does not cover the history of the "Republic of China" (i.e. Taiwan) in the same period. It covers the PRC alone. Walrasiad (talk) 04:36, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
