does any one know when "kingdomtide" was removed from the liturgical calendar? I am a fairly new Methodist. I was trained in the Episcopal Church USA. I still observe the liturgical seasons and traditions.
You'll find that now the liturgical seasons are practically identical to what you had in the Episcopal Church. Kingdomtide was abandoned with the last Book of Worship which I believe was approved in 1988, but I'm not certain with that. Observance of Kingdomtide extended into the early 90s by inertia, but I know of no United Methodists who observe Kingdomtide any more.

Still observed in some churches!
[edit]The article 'Feast of Christ the King' states that it is still observed in the Church in Wales, some Lutheran churches and some Methodist churches. Mdrb55 (talk) 12:32, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
