Magnetic Fields I[edit]

What's the gag? I've been listening to this album for nearly 30 years and I've never known why there is twenty seconds of knocking noises and applause listed as "Magnetic Fields I" when the LP version lasts about 17 minutes.

Also, why was the Oxygene material not included on the original album? I've always found that odd. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.86.124.74 (talk) 14:51, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Also, Magnetic Fields I *was* actually performed live entirely and the recording survived in the official video of the concert, as can be seen on this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTyAtn177zo Can someone explain if this recording is available somewhere else than on that video? Suggested corrections[edit]

Jean Michel Jarre is not a pop artist. He is an Electronica artist. Consider changing the sentence to the first western live musician. The Overture is more than just a slowed down version of the opening of Magnetic Fields Part 1. There are additional beat structures and melodic constructs to consider this a different song. Consider removing the part that refers to The Overture. 118.208.17.66 (talk) 10:23, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
