Eric Buisson[edit]

An article about a Frenchman who changed his last name from Bush because he didn't want to share a name with George W. While I can empathize with the sentiment, and he got a small amount of news coverage for it (mostly in France), I don't think it rises to the level of encyclopedic notability. • Delete: Interesting, but it wasn't confirmed. (There was a CA company that made suitcases. The "Washing and Care Instructions" label had English and French, of course. The English was straightforward, but the French said, "Please do not blame us. We know our President is an idiot. We didn't vote for him." Funny, but not encyclopedic.) • Delete. Did get some press coverage, but not enough to be notable. Although it does seem a shame to lose it... might we be able to merge it somewhere? [[User:David Johnson|David Johnson [T|C]]] 23:41, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)
    • Is there an article on European responses to George W. Bush or something like that? Perhaps in one of the (many, I think) iterations of the Iraq War article, in the "reactions" section or something? I stay away from the political articles, 'cause the boiling point of my blood is too low, but if someone can think of a place to merge this, it would be a good merge & redirect. • Delete. Eric Buisson is notable but George Bush is not. :-) [[User:GeorgeStepanek|GeorgeStepanek\talk ]] 21:54, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • footnote into George W Bush. He deserves an entry into Dubya's trivia section. 132.205.15.43 00:31, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Lots of people change their names for lots of reasons - many of them political. That's not enough to qualify for an article. Delete. Rossami (talk) 00:55, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete and add as a footnote to George W Bush. P Ingerson 12:30, 16 Dec 2004 (UTC)
