Sorry to hear about your metacarpal, but on the positive side, it's my pleasure to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1

I agree to [[Wikipedia:Multi-licensing|multi-license]] all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:

OR

Option 2

Well, if it was Selsor, this would be seen as attacking him. And I wanted to solicit comments on my own behaviour as well as whether the way the block was applied to me was fair and kosher. Do you think I should withdraw it? Two people have already commented. Incidently, I'm about to start Wikipedia:Administator's noticeboard. However, in this case I would like to tell all admins about it, so I'd like to send a message to all admins. Yet this will be classed as spam and I'll get blocked again! So what do I do here? Terrorism

I hate to bug you about this, but the terrorism article has gotten obnoxiously POV again. I reverted a rewrite a bit ago, but Stevertigo has put it back in and I don't have the time or energy to deal with this. If you do, could you trim the introduction back to something reasonable? Thanks. I trimmed out a bit of the worst and the blatantly inaccurate, and a couple others have done a bit, but it's still flaky. I hoped that since you'd worked on it before and seem to know the issues well, you might be able to do something with it. If you'd rather stay away from the mess, it'd be understandable.

It's interesting to note that the new additions seem always to be in the intro. The result, besides being POV and distorted, is a terribly structured article. Isomorphic 23:31, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Staten Island

I am seeing all the good work you are doing on mass transit articles, or whatever we want to call them. I have been doing some research on Henry H. Rogers (1840-1909). One of my sources states that he was long the "transit magnate of Staten Island". I haven't been able to find out anything more, although Rogers lived in Manhattan, had ties to Greenpoint in Brooklyn, has involved in other rail operations including Union Pacific, Erie, Lackawanna, Deepwater, Tidewater, Virginian, Ohio River Railroads. He was also involved in multiple ventures with Abram S. Hewitt, a former NY mayor who has been called the father of the NY subway.
