Hi Pneff,

I think you wrote this:

You misunderstand the Christian believe. The New Testament doesn't say that Jews hung Jesus but the Pharisees.....The Pharisees weren't the Jews, they were only a group of them.

In the section on Christian anti-semitism. If you didn't write this, I apologize for calling your attention to it. But if you did...

You misunderstand Judaism. It is true that at the time the Pharisees represented just one of many Jewish group. But it is the only group that survived; all Jews today are Pharisees, or descendents of the Pharisees. Judaism today is Phariseeic Judaism. I tam fairly sure all Orthodox and Conservative Jews would say this without hesitation. Reform and Reconstructionist Jews might take a few minutes to explain that they have kept a lot of Phariseeic Judaism but have made some changes. In any event, practically every Jew today identifies with the Pharisees and takes a comment against Pharisees to be a comment against Judaism as a whole.

You might want to read through the entire discussion on this issue, including the archived old talk -- it is lengthy, but allthe points you bring up have been brouht up before and have been discusses from both sides, SR
