Talk:Three-way circuit

It looks like what electricians call a "3-way switch" is actually a 2-way switch, otherwise known as a single pole double throw - SPDT. Like this:

Am I right? Let's make these switching articles as accurate as possible, giving the "common name" and also the appropriate equivalent. - Omegatron 14:43, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)

redirect to switch article[edit]

this is a howto guide on mains wiring which doesn't really belong here anyway and it is EXTREMELY US centric. Therefore i propose redirecting it to the switch article which has more generic information on multiway switching in a non-howto style. Any objections? Plugwash 09:40, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Or move to wikibooks. - Omegatron 13:13, Apr 21, 2005 (UTC)

If you can find a suitable place in wikibooks sure (it pisses me off when people add that tag but give no indication of where in wikibooks it could go) but in that case i think this should still be a redirect to switch with one of the sisterproject templates used to link to the page in wikibooks.
