Yes, I moved it - and it should be moved right back. You should have referred to the discussion page for my reasoning (which I'm now going to elaborate on).
There was no mention of this Hilas Petropoulos anwhere in the page as I found it.
Contrary to your assertions, I also made some substantial modifications to your - quite frankly - unintelligible prose. User:Mel_Etitis has suggested further changes.

I'm afraid that it looks as though you haven't fully understood the Wikipedia system:

Articles don't belong to anyone; you might start up an article, but it's open to any other editor to work on and change — that's the point of Wikipedia.
Disagreements are discussed on the Talk pages of articles (see my previous message). Sometimes articles are the subject of long and heated debates, sometimes they're edited by a number of editors with little friction (much depends upon the subject matter, but just as much on the temperaments of those involved).

Please come to Talk:Rebetiko if you want to be involved in editing the article. If you don't then your voice won't be heard, and we'll lose a knowledgeable new contributor. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 22:06, 26 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[edit]

I'd like to apologize about the page move procedure. I should have clicked the "move" button. The way I ended up doing it, it erased the version history, which was not my intention. I thought the move itself (apart from the manner in which it was done) would be non-controversial, and I still think it should be under "rebetika," but we can discuss that civilly on the talk page. --Jpbrenna 22:15, 26 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I hope that this message is of interest to you, if not please accept my apologies. There is a poll in the talk page of the 'Macedonian Slavs' article here:

Some people are lobbying for changing the article's name to Macedonians without any qualifier. As it seems, a number of these people come from the Macedonian/Macedonian Slav wikipedia project. It seemed only fair to attract the attention of people possibly from the other side of the story. Your contributions to the discussion and the poll are welcomed.

Wikipedians in Greece[edit]

I understand that you are either Greek Wikipedian or a Wikipedian living in/with an interest in Greece.

The category page Wikipedians/Greece has been replaced with Category:Wikipedians in Greece but your name still appears on the old list. You might considering moving it. You might also consider adding adding Template:Greekwiki to your user page.
