Hello Torque, I am a German newbie trying to improve the German wiki article about the armenian genocide subject. I see you are very involved in that. Thank you. :-) Maybe you can help me. In the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_Genocide there is written something very interesting: . "Recently Sweden has changed its official position quoting the historical accuracy, and currently does not recognize Armenian genocide." Armenian Genocide

Would you please fix your statements in the article Armenian Genocide? You use the same paragraph twice, but with different numbers and terms. Compare:

In 1890 there were possibly around 1.7 million Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, of whom the vast majority were of the Armenian Orthodox or Roman Catholic Christian faith. Until late 19th century, the Armenians were called "millet-i sadika" (fidel nation) by the Ottomans, as they were living in harmony with the Muslim Kurds and Turks in Eastern Anatolia, without any major conflict with the central authority despite religous and ethnic differences. While the Armenian population in Eastern Anatolia was large and clustered, there was also a considerably large community of Armenians on the west, mostly living in the capital city of Istanbul, of which a substantial community remains to this day.

and the very next paragraph:

Armenian genocide

It looks like Coolcat and Everyking have things under control. You could talk to them and ask how they feel about raising an RFC or RFAr against Fadex if he isn't willing to discuss and/or compromise. There's too much talk page material for me, to make an adequate reasoning about this user myself, but his deletions seem unwarranted. Hi, Torque. I see that Fadix has made a request for mediation WP:RFM concerning Coolcat and the Armenian Genocide article. You might wish to become a party to that mediation. I don't think Fadix appreciates how unlikely it is that Wikipedia will declare his point of view to be the only one legitimate enough to be reflected in the article. That isn't how Wikipedia works. I don't think he realizes that mediation is about compromise and that starting a mediation and then be unwilling to compromise will not put him in a good light if the dispute subsequently goes to arbitration. --BM 18:14, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Choosing the person to mediate your case is a basic principle of mediation. All mediators should follow the NPOV policy, and I doubt they'd violate that. If they do, you can always ask for action against them. Do you know which mediator Fadix chose? Mgm|^(talk) 22:13, Mar 19, 2005 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Ambassador.JPG

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
