Welcome[edit]

Hi and welcome to wikipedia. I noticed you had a blank talk page, so I decided to welcome you. I hope you like it and decide to stay. Here are some handy links for newcomers.

Also you can sign your name on talk pages and vote pages with three tildes like this ~~~, and your name with a time stamp with four like this ~~~~. Howabout1 01:06, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional Trivia[edit]

The trivia you have been posting again and again under the name Bhuvana Sundar, is promotional. Wikipedia is NOT an advertising platform. You can ask people to vote for the meenakshi temple as one of the wonders of the world through your personal website. Robin klein 04:36, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Herr Klein:

I am NOT promoting the temple'e elevation to a world wonder. Of course I agree that I would be personally happy to see it as a world wonder (hailing from Madurai), I would swear that I am NOT promoting the election of this heritage site. OF course the first time I posted it with the phrase "Inputs from bla bla bla", and you removed the entire paragraph, I thought it was not nice on my part to put my name, and so in my second posting I removed my name and just put the passage concerning the vote. And I firmly believe that you have not yet bothered to look into the website for this vote www.n7w.com, which is NOT a promotional one (nor is it MY site), but rather an international database sort of thing wherein any one may bote on any site - be it The Great Wall of China or The Aachen Cathedral or The Eiffel Tower, etc. In fact many people are not even aware that the process is ON for he selection of the new 7 wonders. Thats why I thought that it might be a useful piece of info. to be put up on the site.

So I think it is NOT a promotional addition. Thanks and Cheers. sbhuvans

Well if you think so, then the right place for the paragraph is in the article Meenakshi temple not Meenakshi. i.e. there is another article that deals with only the temple. And try to post it in a manner that might not seem promotional. Robin klein 13:28, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
