Hi Bogdan, welcome here at Wikipedia. I hope you'll contribute more articles on Romania, like Cluj-Napoca (check out how I added links to that article). If you have any questions, try Wikipedia:Village pump. Regards, Jeronimo

Hi! Welcome! Americans are very ignorant about history and geography of other countries, so when you write articles like Deva and Hunedoara, it would help us a lot if you say clearly in the article what country we are talking about. Thanks!

LOL- "Americans" are very ignorant about history and geography, eh? Oh well, at least we make great refrigerators!David de Paoli

Done, thanx

Welcome, Bogdan! (from just another history and geography ignoramus, David dePaoli ;) BTW, I appreciate your greeting, but these should go on the "Talk" page, thanks.

You wrote on my Talk page:

I can stop contributing if you think I make things worse with my English...

Please don't! Your contributions are like all other contributions to Wikipedia - partly good, partly ready for improvement. And that one of those improvements is to improve your English is no problem at all. If I edit your contributions to improve the English, you should not see it as a criticism, but as a compliment. It means that I feel that your contributions are useful and worthwhile. It means that I feel that the contents are such that I think it's worthwhile to spend the time to make it even better.

All of us have had the experience that others rewrote what they put in. Me too, many times. But we feel proud of being a part of a greater project, of having taken our part in the creation of pages together with others. We all have things we are good at and things we are bad at. You know a lot about things that none of the others know much about, especially where Romania is concerned (and undoubtedly at several other subjects as well). Keep bringing those in, and make them part of the great building of knowledge we are building together.

I say once more, if I edit what you write, it means that I see value in it. It also means that I think it can be improved, but that's not strange, everything here can be improved, and much of it is being improved almost on a daily basis. If you want to write something and have it kept that way and admired for years and centuries, then Wikipedia is not the place for you. But if you want to give building blocks to a community to create works of excellence together rather than on your own, this is your place. And then it is no problem that your work is not good English. Someone will come along and improve it. Just like someone will (hopefully) come along and improve it if I write something that is incorrect or incomplete.

Please don't go. I would a hundred times rather see good articles in badly written English than nonsense that could have been written by Shakespeare. If you do not mind, I will keep trying to improve the English in what you have written - not because what you write is bad, but because it is good. Andre Engels 11:48 Oct 2, 2002 (UTC)

Yes, please stay. Many people here - even those that have English as a first language - make a lot of mistakes in their spelling and grammar, but there are others correcting them. That's how Wikipedia works - nobody's perfect, but together, we can try to be. Jeronimo

Bogdan, I've started to work on a new article for Romania, based on a template we've developed for country articles. The current version - not yet finished - is at Romania/Temp. Since you're Romanian, you can probably add and correct some of the information there. Jeronimo
