is this correct? any chemists out there? quite a few pages link this instead of alkaline earth metals when talking about period 2 elements. i began redirecting links @ period 1 element to alkaline earth metals instead, but now i'm not sure that these are synonyms anyway? Seems like we're going in circles. This was redirected once before to Alkaline earth metals and I think it makes sense. There is info on that page regarding oxides as well as metals.Glendoremus 23:16, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
