Welcome[edit]

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia.

Anyone can edit here, of course, but there are advantages to creating an account if you want to contribute on a regular basis. If you want to join up, create an account and then introduce yourself to the community at the new user log.

You can help improve the articles listed below! This list updates frequently, so check back here for more tasks to try. (See Wikipedia:Maintenance or the Task Center for further information.)

Help counter systemic bias by creating new articles on important women.

Help improve popular pages, especially those of low quality.

You might find these links helpful in creating new pages or helping with the above tasks: How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Naming conventions, Manual of Style. You should read our policies at some point too.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page.. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

And once you have an account, you can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.

Again, welcome! - BCorr|Брайен 02:36, Mar 26, 2004 (UTC)

Edit Concerns[edit]

First off let me welcome you to wikipedia! I have reviewed some of your recent conrtibutions and I have some concerns with several of your edits.

At Hatshepsut you edited the page to say hi and then removed your edit. This clogs the page history and wastes wikipedia's limited memory space.
At Adolescence you deleted the entire article, except one word muskoka. This could be a mistake and if it was you need to say so on the talk page.
At Florida it would seem that you realized your mistake and went back to correct it only to find, that another user had already made the corrections. At this point you replace the msg:United States with not just a deletion notice but a speedy deletion notice. This was a very serious mistake as it can be viewed as an act of retribution against the page and user for the revert. Major pages such as Florida should never be placed on a request for speedy deletion without having reached consensus on the talk page.

Any of these three actions can be viewed as acts of vandalism by your fellow wikipedians. When a wikipedian gets a reputation for being a vandal every contribution they make has a shadow of doubt cast over it and thus endangers all of their contributions. Unfortunately because of your actions at Hatshepsut, Adolesence, and especially Florida you have already developed that reputation. This does not mean that you are doomed to always have it; you should explain yourself if it was a mistake. If you are commiting acts of vandalism, but also want to be a wikipedian; let me tell you straight out, you can't be. If you wish to stay at wikipedia, but have been commiting acts of vandalism, I strongly suggest that you stop immediately and apologize for your actions.

I hope that you will clear up these matters and stay at wiki, but please note that your actions are being carefully monitored by the community.
