Hi, I believe some of the images you have been uploading are violating copyright? I hope you can quash my claims, if not - perhaps you weren't aware of the policy? --OldakQuill 17:49, 7 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning Blas Ople please refrain in the future from marking edits that add more than a paragraph of text as minor.

Also, please refer to Wikipedia:Minor edit for what is considered a major or minor edit.

Copyright violations (also mentioned above)[edit]

You have uploaded the following images:

None of them have any information on their source listed on the image pages. I have been able to find them all on Google, which suggests you used the same method. Please note that we can not use any image available on the Internet; we must either have the photographer's (or publisher's) explicit permission or assert fair use. Most of these don't seem like fair use cases. It seems like you might simply have misunderstood the image copyright policy. If no acquired permissions can be provided, it will be necessary to delete the images to avoid copyright infringement. Please clarify. Thanks! Fredrik 08:30, 21 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove comments from your talk page. It might be perceived as if you're trying to hide criticism.

You have not responded about the presumed copyright violations mentioned above. I have listed them on Wikipedia:Copyright problems, and they will get deleted in a few days unless you go there and show that they are fair use or that you have obtained permission to use them. Please reply. Thanks. Fredrik (talk) 15:06, 1 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Good. Please put copyright and permission information on the image pages in the future, so other people who view them know what applies for them. And consider having a thorough look at the copyright guidelines. Thanks again :) Fredrik (talk) 16:35, 1 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Re: Thanks[edit]

Hi, I want to ask what was thanks for? I appreciate, it but I don't know what I did! :) --seav 11:25, 12 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Unverified images[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{PD-self}} if you wish to release your own work to the public domain, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. Peter O. (Talk, automation script) 06:47, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

Filipino Wikipedians[edit]

Hi, you were listed in the Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Philippines page as living in or being associated with Philippines. As part of the Wikipedia:User categorisation project, these lists are being replaced with user categories. If you would like to add yourself to the category that is replacing the page, please add [[Category:Filipino Wikipedians|{{subst:PAGENAME}}]] to your user page. Thanks. :) Coffee 03:23, 12 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The image you uploaded, Image:Bongbong.jpg, has no source information. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Unless the copyright status is provided, the image will be marked for deletion on 24 October 2005.

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175[edit]

Dear Soup,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,

Sky Harbor (talk) 07:02, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
