Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ron Redifer

Notable? Autobiographical with some POV. Also, it's mostly a rip from the linked website, but facts conflict with the official bio. Ocon | Talk 15:07, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • difficult. A professional drummer. Associated with lots of big names. No links to this article from articles in the main namespace. Text a c&p job by an anon. Smells like promotion. Delete if no independent verfication of notability. I am not a music expert. Ianb 15:28, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • I don't see any indication of notability. Google and Alta Vista get a handful of hits, mostly looking like self-promotion. Delete. - Kenwarren 21:06, Jul 22, 2004 (UTC)
  • Vote to Keep. In desperate need of NPOV rewrite. The names of his kids and their drumming ability as perceived by dad are not what one would term notable. Arevich 21:51, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Send to cleanup. See if someone can improve/NPOV. Lyellin 13:32, Jul 23, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Mere handful of google links, and I think the phrase that popped up—"Doors tribute band"—says it all. Non-notable. Postdlf 13:46, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Not notable, and most of the claims can't be independently verified. 5 hits for "Ron Redifer", one of which is his personal website, another of which is the strange-daze band website, and a third is a public message board. Also, allmusic.com has not heard of him, nor either of the Doors tribute bands he's played with. His name doesn't appear anywhere on Wikipedia, linked or not, so it's destined to be an orphan. Oh, and the useless redirect RON REDIFER (created by a page move) should go, as well. I really like a local classic rock cover band that gets 14 hits ("ruthie and the gents") (http://www.ruthieandthegents.com), but I haven't made a page for the band, let alone individual members.
