Sgeo wonders how many people will get themselves killed trying to surf the waves [of Hurricane Ivan]

JacketFan: They were surfing in Mobile Bay earlier today.
Wolf: mobile bay? does it travel?
JacketFan: That was in the morning before the winds got above 20 or 30 mph, though.
Julianne: I still scratch my head over those idiots on the TV standing in the middle of severe weather conditions and reporting on the weather. Of all the stupid career choices...
JacketFan: It's just for ratings, Juli. I dunno about you or other people, but I don't think there's anything good or brave about what they're doing. I think they're morons.
Wolf: It's amazing that a rock never hits them. and they never get blown away, heck, the camera never gets water on the lens
Wolf: most of the time they're just standing by a blue screen with a live transmission
JacketFan: Actually, Geraldo got blown down once. If he hadn't managed to catch the side of a building, he could have been blown away. :P

Julianne: It's even worse out here when there's a huge snowstorm and the roads are slippery. "Thanks, Jim, I'm here on route 128 where there have been 10 accidents in the last hour. Cars can barely get traction here. Don't go out unless you have to!" I actually expect them to get plowed on live TV.
