More Dartmouth College insignificance. Dunc_Harris| 19:04, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)

• Melt ... I mean delete. Don't they have any interests except for Dartmouth topics? --Elf-friend 19:36, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Merge and redirect to Dartmouth Skiway. We will see more of these I guess, up to about 140 articles may have been created by this one class alone. Hopefully most of them are good new articles. Andrewa 19:57, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete in present form, because this article doesn't say anything about why how the Dartmouth Ski Patrol is different from any old ski patrol. Non-notable. Shouldn't be in Wikipedia as it stands. Dpbsmith (talk) 20:17, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC) But...
Comment Guess what? We don't seem to have any article about ski patrols. Unless that's the same thing as Mountain rescue??? Take a look at Skiing and its subtopics. If the developers of this article would like to help Wikipedia, in my opinion the best thing they could do would be to draw on whatever knowledge they have of ski patrolling, and/or the knowledge of any people they may know in the Dartmouth Ski Patrol, and quickly rework this article into a an article about Ski patrols. A decent paragraph stub would do. Hey, there's The Professional Ski Patrol association, the National Ski Patrol, whatever. Hey, there's even a 1990 movie entitled Ski Patrol. And... there's a 1940 movie entitled Ski Patrol. So... ski patrols must have at least a half century of history, lore, legend, craft, cruft, etc. Dpbsmith (talk) 20:17, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• I don't understand why this would be deleted. They are a legitimate organization and at the least this serves as a useful stub. Keep. anthony (see warning) 20:38, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Sorry, Ant...gotta disagree with you on this one. We've been bombarded with these things and they're of no use to anyone outside of those who posted them, presumably as a class assignment. I'd like to make this a blanket delete vote for all of these. - Lucky 6.9 21:05, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• You don't think there's anyone outside of the person who posted this article who ever wants to know about the Dartmouth Ski Patrol? I think that's obviously untrue. Anyone interested in joining the Darmouth Ski Patrol, for example, would likely be interested in this. Lyme, New Hampshire, on the other hand. I could see how that's a useless article. anthony (see warning) 21:56, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Comment: it's not as if they're hard to find: 1 --Ianb 19:34, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Yes, but what if the rest of the Internet is down and only Wikipedia is still on-line? The article could be useful then. ;-) --Elf-friend 19:40, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• By that argument every article on Wikipedia is useless. anthony (see warning) 19:57, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Merge and Redirect to Dartmouth Skiway. Kevyn 23:47, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Do other colleges scatter every student organization across our site? No. Do you think that Valdosta State University has a rattlesnake roundup? Could it claim to be super notable because other folks don't do that? Could it claim to be the first to do it? Would we think that it's great? If I'm foaming at the mouth, it's because of student laziness, if not frank vandalism. The assignment we saw did not say, "Write up your favorite Dartmouth organization." It said, that they were to make sure that the articles fit into our content. I wholeheartedly support Ski patrol. I emphatically vote delete on Dartmouth Ski Patrol. Geogre 00:34, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)

• Merge and delete, like Kevyn said. A redirect is unnecessary. Fuzheado | Talk 05:27, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Merge and delete destroys the GFDL author information. A redirect *is* necessary. anthony (see warning) 12:14, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Then delete and destroy. Fuzheado | Talk 06:32, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. No redirect, no nothing. Ambi 10:43, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. I'm really getting rather worried about the insularity of worldview that students at a certain Ivy League university seem to show. I mean, come on, surely they have access to a high quality library which they can use to research important facts? You know, expand the page on Mesopotamia or somesuch. • Delete. Articles on generic college clubs are a bad idea for many reasons. Isomorphic 18:44, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)

• This could be a useful external link in a list of clubs, associations in the main article on this college, but otherwise delete. --Ianb 19:34, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Keep. Useful longstanding org, not just a college group. Not paper. +sj+ 08:29, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)
