Is is possible to clear up the legend of this figure? Negative change indicates an increase in water level? Why is there <-40 and >40? I assume the colors go from blue meaning "wet" to red meaning "dry", but I don't exactly understand how the numbers fit with that.

Can you put the state borders on the map too, so it is easier to find things, for people that don't know the shape of the Ogallala aquifer by heart?

Good looking figure, otherwise. --kris 18:46, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The legend is exactly how the program[1] created it from the data, i.e., with the magnitudes within the dataset. But you're right – the last time I looked the image over I thought exactly the same thing, and I'll probably regenerate it with a new legend. I also think I'll change the colors so it's a little more clear which is which. The article currently has a map that shows the aquifer in relation to the states' borders, but that map with this one is a bit redundant. I think I have the states' borders dataset that I could use to overlay on this same map, thereby killing two birds with one stone. -- Kbh3rd 19:39, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
