(Note: As of November 2013, discussion has been inactive for over 8 years; with one exception. It is highly unlikely that the user was actually Scott Peterson, considering that no known news reports have come in stating that Peterson ever used a Wikipedia account. The language involved in the account would also be unlikely for someone who was in the process of being sentenced in a well-known legal trial.)

We are currently debating the legitimacy of this user's claims to convicted felon Scott Peterson. Visit Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Scott_Peterson to weigh in either way.

To "Scott", if it is indeed you, my apologies that we have to put you through another trial process. Once we have confirmed that indeed you are who you say you are, you'll have no other further harassments and will be free to edit as if any other Wikipedian. However, I might suggest taking another user name if you don't want to be harassed by the general public too much.
