a chapter of a silly Greek letter thingy (can you guess where?). Dunc_Harris| 11:39, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • This is getting ridiculous...delete with prejudice. -- Ferkelparade π 11:48, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: If the girls want to write about their national sorority, then that's one thing. This is another. There is no way whatever to merge and redirect, IMO. Geogre 13:22, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Kappa Kappa Gamma is a national Greek organization, but it does not at present have an article. If it existed, I would advocate Merge and Redirect, but otherwise, Delete for non-notability. Kevyn 21:30, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC) Merge and Redirect to Dartmouth College Greek organizations Kevyn 22:16, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • I'd say move to Kappa Kappa Gamma and clean up, but there really isn't any information here about the national organization (or how it differs from any other greek organization, for that matter). Delete. Gwalla | Talk 21:58, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Build on. If you're going to delete individual fraternity/sorority chapters, then it needs to be across the board, and I believe there are other individual chapter pages already on here. Otherwise, a standard needs to be established as to which individual chapter is "worthy" which is also not plausible. So the solution is to keep it. Maybe have them add their notable members or history. It's not difficult to foresee each fraternity having a neat template for all their chapters in the future. Give it a chance. • Wodan, if you find any other chapter articles, list them here. A chapter is no more notable than a dormitory -- less so, in fact, I'd say. The national societies get pages -- fine with me -- but chapters should not. I cannot think of a single chapter that would get a page. At most, a truly notable chapter would be worth a section in the article on the national. Geogre 01:16, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect. -Sean Curtin 04:32, Aug 25, 2004 (UTC)
    • Merge and severely reduce: I'm sure they are all lovely girls and the poor and needy are eternally grateful for their ministrations, however, To the average European the requirement for Frats and Sorrieties at American Colleges needs to be explained, (that is if they need to be in an encyclopedia at all) could not each individual group have a coupe of lines (all that's necessary) at Fraternities and sororities, then if anyone is remotely interested they can find them there Giano 06:21, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • If a google search of a specific chapter produces thousands of results, then it should be an entry - otherwise, delete it. Example: Say several famous people all belong to a specific chapter of a greek frat or sorc; If the chapter has a history in making these people famous or what not, then it's notable. Otherwise, it can get the boot. -- Allyunion 22:39, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Being related to Dartmouth is not a valid reason for deletion. anthony (see warning) 14:08, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Are we talking here about the Royal Naval College at Dartmouth UK, or of some obscure place in the USA? - in short these silly societies are totally meaningless to anyone who has not had the dubious honour of membership, daft girls cooking for the poor, and equally daft boys doing what daft boys do, 'for heavens sake' delete the lot of the and get real! — User:213.122.167.29 ( contribs) (anonymous vote; not counted)

  • Does Dartmouth College publish a prospectus, or does Wikipedia now fulfil that role? Changed vote to definitely delete. Giano 21:51, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)
