May I ask why you removed the top entry from Did you know? You are supposed to remove the bottom entry before placing anything new. Mike H 19:20, Jul 29, 2004 (UTC)

Nah, the bottom entry is the oldest. I've edited it so the last entry went on archive instead. Mike H 19:25, Jul 29, 2004 (UTC)

Hi. I left an answer for your July 22 question about federal elections results on the Reference Desk page. ffirehorse 21:30, 13 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Well, I don't think I mentioned it, but I sorta ignore the switches to being just independents, but if Jeffords switches to the Democrats, he makes the list. This also allows me to ignore Bob Smith's switch (and switch back). Thanks for the comment. --RobbieFal 05:08, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Sorry about that, Ped. I was updating his current status, and didn't realize that we wanted to keep past biography information as well. I have a databse full of Texas House and Senate members going back about 10 years. Would you like for me to propose some backfill information on them? weide 13:20, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Charlie gonzalez photo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Charlie gonzalez photo.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Bkell (talk) 22:32, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

File:Jeb hensaling photo.jpg needs authorship information.[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Jeb hensaling photo.jpg is missing information as to its authorship (and or source) , or if such information is provided it is confusing.

Although images may not need author information in un-controversial cases, or where an applicable source is provided, such information aids those making use of the image, and helps verify the copyright status of an image.

If possible, please consider updating the media information page to make the authorship (and or source) of this media clearer.

If the media is your own work, please consider explicitly including your user name or using the {{own}} template on the media information page.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:26, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
