Well, this is my user talk

Hi![edit]

Hi! (see also User talk:81.165.130.78!). Yep, posting on someone's talk page is the best way to get in touch with someone, although you can also write on the article talk page, too. One useful feature is to "sign" your posts with four tildes: ~~~~; that gets replaced with your name and the date, and helps keep track of who's saying what/when. If you've got any questions, please do ask, I'd be happy to help. Welcome again! — Matt 15:30, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Hi, yes I did try out your simulator -- it looks great, although I didn't realise you could lift out the rotors and fiddle with the ring settings. I'll have to try it out again! If you want to upload a diagram, you can use the "Upload file" link in the Toolbox. On that page there's a number of instructions on how to upload an image, how to label it, and how to add it to a page, and so on; but please make sure that either 1) you own the copyright or 2) the copyright holder has granted permission to use the image under, say, the GFDL. — Matt 18:20, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Enigma diagram[edit]

Nice diagram for the wiring at Enigma machine! I don't suppose you could make a "PNG" version? Currently, the image is in JPEG format, which is more suited for photographs. Diagrams are usually better off in a lossless-format. Cheers! — Matt 18:28, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Thanks, it looks a lot cleaner now. I had another play with your simulator, and it's a lot of fun to be able to move the rotors around graphically. Nice stuff. — Matt 19:30, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
I've deleted the old JPEG version. — Matt 21:24, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

M-209[edit]

Nice looking simulator! I'll have to try it out sometime. Coincidentally, I've been working the past few days on turning my M-209 Blender model into a full-fledged simulator (since Blender has powerful Python scripting); I still have quite a bit of modelling left to do, but I've successfully created an interface for setting the lugs to the desired positions (with all changes shown in the 3D view). Eventually, I'd like it to be capable of a complete encoding/decoding, with different 3D views to show the internal workings during encoding. I'll probably be needing to consult with you later, to get your advice and comments :-) -- Wapcaplet 04:25, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Removing talk page threads[edit]

Hi,

You appear to have just deleted a talk page thread. Old talk page threads are archived, not deleted. Am I missing something here? Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 15:54, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
