Students (mostly boys) have played at the school where I teach for at least 10 years, although they call it "wall ball." Joyous 20:14, Sep 11, 2004 (UTC)

• Find a more generic name. In Philadelphia, this game and variations of it go by the names homicide and suicide, and they've been around forever. I use to play this game, and I still wince in pain at the memory. • "Wall Ball" was the name I knew it by. I'd prefer all the possible names to redirect to a single entry or section within Playground games or something similar. Most playground games (including Red Arse from earlier on VfD) will by necessity have multiple names. I added the name Red Ass and included Canada in the article at Wall Ball. Joyous pointed out to me that there is an article called Playground game. Should I move the wall ball content there, and redirect Wall Ball to that article? func(talk) 20:12, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I think that each game with its own set of rules and alternative names probably rates an article. Given the length of the new Wall Ball article and add to it the sample set of rules from Slaughter House and I think that's plenty for one article. Ok, Here's the game plan, (unless someone disagrees): I'm going to copy the content from Slaughter house into its own section in Wall Ball, then I will redirect Slaughter house to that article. • That satisfies me. I still think that either the Playground game article should link out to the individual games or, ideally, include them as sections. I say that because of the variability of names and because a number of the game names are going to end up confusing other entities. I.e. a Slaughterhouse article and Slaughter house article ought to be about an abitoir, IMO, and it's possible that there is going to be some infamous red donkey that should go at Red ass (like the famous red heiffer from the Bible), so disambiguations that point to a section in a master topic would be ideal. I do understand the difficulty of trying to take on something like that in the process of writing about a particular game, though. Geogre 02:47, 13 Sep 2004 (UTC)
