September 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Live action role-playing game, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please gain consensus on the article talk page before you move such a large amount of material.dαlus Contribs /Improve 06:23, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Your message[edit]

No, I am not an admin, and I'm sorry about assuming you were a new user, just the small policy break and small amount of talk on your talk page led me to believe that, I see now that I should have checked logs and history. As to the name change, I personally thought it went against consensus, and it wouldn't really change anything. As to the consensus, my reasoning was that if that article has been around long enough to have its discussion page archived twice, and the issue didn't come up, it should be fine the way it was. I'll support the move now, but I will not revert myself. To the redirect, I suggest you simply tag it under criteria for speedy deletion, G6, page move, meaning, the page is in the way of a move, and needs to be deleted so the move can take place. That should fix things right up!

Now to go take care of that list you mentioned, it sounds as if it fails a policy, I haven't seen it yet, but WP is not a collection of lists.— dαlus Contribs /Improve 07:41, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

live-action versus live action[edit]

Just FYI: I think renaming Live action role-playing game deserves some discussion first. I've created a thread over at the LARP article.Alan De Smet | Talk 14:20, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

live-action[edit]

Hi, I have an issue with your move of the article live action to live-action. It's a different issue to the larp one. Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Live-action. Ryan Paddy (talk) 09:07, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The file File:Turkington edit 919.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
