Thanks, most kind of you. There has also been quite a lot of very good advice given by other wikipedias on correcting errors, and the support by everyone has been most appreciated and respected. I will use the template whenever possible. Sometimes a bit difficult as I run three screens and two computers at once.

One Editor confusion solved

As indicated, this account is managed by a single individual, who co-ordinates research. The research upon which it is based is supplied triply by: books, periodical articles, and indeed quite reasonably conversation and raw data from a variety of people. Homogenously all reports indicate the same style. Seems a fast way to get the job done. Of course there could be 100 accounts instantly created by 100 people, and then what would emerge is fragmented entries, some of a few lines, and with no coordinating function to guide accurate and responsible writing. I shall quibble you on the use of "multiple people" incessantly, simply isn't thecase - as at no time in this discourse has there even been an indication of multiple hands, but a plurality of sources of information to ensure accuracy; and as well put together a jolly difficult task which so far has not been given a try. That a lot of people who supplied accurate research to an editor contributed is quite wonderful, should they decide to set up accounts that is their choice. One hopes that will be the case in the future. However at this present time, the editor of these works controls the works. One person.

When it is turned over to another person, a new account will be set up. And if multiple hands contribute, multiple accounts will be set up.

This is all a good deal of work to lay down roads.

1. One of the problems was that, no matter how many times I put in quite a lot of work converting new articles into Wikipedia style (changing 'Webology' (ugh!) into 'External links', correcting section headers, etc.), the next new article made exactly the same mistakes, meaning that all that work had to be done again. One mark of an individual is the ability to learn from mistakes...

Why are you adding "battle of Incheon" to the top of this page? This gives the appearance of vandalism. -- 02:27, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

The page is hacked about every hour by someone, so I decided to see if he would even respect the Incheon military anniversary - it wasn't. Sort of sad.

It's not appropriate to disrupt an article by putting extra unrelated material at the top. This gives the appearance of vandalism, and this is why I and others automatically reverted those modified versions — I simply assumed it was routine vandalism. However, I believe you have also committed clearcut vandalism (blanking) at other articles as well, including Atheism and Baron d'Holbach. What was the purpose of this? -- 06:44, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

No idea how this happened. There may have been errors switching back and forth on the internet, and the terminal as well was unattended for a short period. One hopes things are righted as our only interest in Wikipedia is on Korean subjects.

Korean ceramics, & other worries

I've left this message on the relevant Talk pages:

• It's a good idea to start an article with a reasonable amount of detail, rather than with one (plain text)sentence — especially as you don't have a user name. Editors on the look out for the many spoof, vandal, or substub articles added by anon users to Wikipedia every day are likely to assume that yours is one of them, as I did.
• If you open a Wikipedia user account (free, easy, and very useful), you can develop an article in your own User-space, adding it to the encyclopædia when it's ready.
• Please look at other Wikipedia articles, and see how they're presented (the names given to standard sections, such as 'External links' rather than 'Webography', for example), and try to present your article in the same way.
• Always sign your comments on pages like this one with four tildes (~~~~), even if you don't have an account; it makes it possible for others to contact you, as well as to find out something of your editing history.

However, the above exchange adds to my worries. Thiis User account seems to be being used by more than one person; moreover, the account is, you say, sometimes left open for anyone to wander along and use. That's not acceptable. First, you should never leave your computer unattended while in a password-protected site; secondly, why not open a User account for each person?

Ceramics experts will soon be having accounts and there extensive list of publications will indicate that the material emplaced within the Korean Ceramics article is accurate.

Received your message and appreciate your aim in providing more accurate and comprehensive information on Korean ceramics. Certainly there is limited information on Wiki sites, and frankly in western publications as well. When I began working on the Wiki pottery articles about three months ago, they had a strong British perspective. I have been trying to provide more American terms and methods, as well as what information I learned in college regarding Japanese ceramic history and methodology. Korean information would be very welcome. However, please keep in mind that Korean terms -- translated into English -- may have a very different meaning to the practicing clay people who will be your primary English readers. While your information may well be accurate, it could easily be misunderstood. Please see my notes regarding the semantics over Pottery (generally preferred in my circle - and apparently in England) and Ceramics (much too broad and often misused here). Once your articles are written, let's set up some kind of clay tree for the Wiki clay articles and refine definitions. It's even more important that you read the Help articles (some listed above) about what Wikipedia is and what it isn't, and how users should approach editing. Generally speaking, editors are eager to help, and concerned to produce a better encyclopædia; it's better to try to reach understanding than to confront other editors, and to accuse them of prejudice and censorship.

Proposed deletion of Korean Confucian art

The article Korean Confucian art has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline requirement WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. This seems like a bad translation and unlikely redirect for Korean art (while Confucian art is a low quality mess). This topic does not exist on Korean Wikipedia. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

Proposed deletion of Jang Ju-won

The article Jang Ju-won has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Hoax or unsalvagable mess. No Korean name in Hangul provided for the subject, 정주원 gives me nothing (an unrelated actor on Korean Wikipedia at ko:정주원). Intangible cultural heritage is badly linked, should be to Intangible Cultural Heritage (South Korea), in either case No. 100 is not a person but a skill of jade making (carving); see Intangible Cultural Heritage (South Korea). I see no source that a certain Jang Ju-won is particularly notable or representative. This article was also created by an indef blocked editor who had a COI/promotion problems. The single reference cited has rotten and is unsalvagable (not in Internet Archive).
