Please remember that just being family of a famous person isn't enough to put someone in an encyclopedia. They've got to be famous for something themselves. Mgm|(talk) 09:11, Mar 17, 2005 (UTC)

Don't delete votes for deletion headers. If you disagree with the listing, please discuss it on the linked page. RickK 06:10, Mar 18, 2005 (UTC)

The next time you delete a votes for deletion header, you will be blocked from editing. RickK 07:25, Mar 18, 2005 (UTC)

User:SNIyer1, please stop creating articles about non-notable people e.g. Gloria Carter Spann, then recreating them once they've been deleted. If you do it again, you risk being blocked. For someone to warrant a Wikipedia entry, they must have done something in their own right, and not simply be a famous person's sister. SlimVirgin (talk) 23:23, Apr 3, 2005 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Murray Lee Smith, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. (See section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
