Particracy is the name of a web-based political strategy game. In Particracy, each player controls a political party in a ficticious nation. Elections are simulated based on the virtual population's ideological stances. The party politics that players engage in explain the title.

The World[edit]

The world of Particracy is called Terra, from the latin name for Earth. It is split into six continents( Artania, Dovan, Keris, Majatra, Makon, and Seleya) and over fifty nations.

Gameplay[edit]

When you start the game your party has no seats in the legislature. Political positions on several subjects are determined based on the bills you vote on, and your visibility of each issue is based on how often you vote. Each country's public opinion, viewable from the country's page, which is used during elections. Durring elections an algorith is used, which compares each party's political position and visibility with that of public opinion, and the parties recieve seats from it. There is a seperate, simoltaneous, election for the head of state position in countries that have seperation of powers and no monarchy. The head of government position can either be obtained through cabinate proposal, having majority control, or by being head of state. Because countries laws differ, each one has a different, yet similar, voting system of how positions are obtaind and how the algorithm scores it.
