I've moved Dave Chadwick to the teachers section as he is in fact an ordained priest, not a layman and removed Allan Watts as he wasn't a practitioner of Zen but merely a commentator, though admittedly an important one.

Roshi, Zen master, Sunim[edit]

All of the above are deserving of their own respective articles, explaining in depth what each term means depending on the tradition. The redirect of roshi and Zen master to this article "Zen teacher" is rather inexcusable in my opinion, and lacking in scholarly analysis at that. In fact, the term Zen teacher doesn't mean much of anything. With all of the masters and others we have linked to this article, these terms should be number one in priority (imo). I will contemplate creating a Zen task force at WikiProject Buddhism, and will try to discuss a way we may collaborate on this effort and get it right. I'm thinking if we assign volunteers to work on particular denominations and the meaning of terms in each article body that the result will be very good. Perhaps even articles such as Roshi (Soto) and Roshi (Rinzai) would work. Any thoughts? (Mind meal (talk) 06:25, 24 January 2008 (UTC))[reply]
