The page on Yugi Mutou should be encyclopedic - It isn't considered encyclopedic to list every single card he has used. A short list of notable cards he has used is a good thing, though. WhisperToMe 05:03, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The Newman Problem[edit]

Newmhosts's at it again - he's been editing my talk page to blank his name out. He doesn't even have the sense to log off so I wouldn't know it was him :-).

Right! Let the Edit War of Newmhostconmence <draws sword/prepares to edit>.

Am logging out...now

I really dont understand what is happening - all I want is my name removed! Newmhost 21:10, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi Chappers[edit]

Have you revised IT? Newmhost 13:37, May 22, 2005 (UTC)

IT's been an gone. Have YOU revised for the school exams though? cap601 13:46, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thanks cap, I know itsbeen and gone, hence the posted dae, but shcool exams, ive done about 3 hours max. I just have a phobia of revision now, and would much rather watch Channel 4 all day instead. Have any of you revised for them? Newmhost 21:05, Jun 2, 2005 (UTC)

Oh, come on Newman, you know us better than that! Myself, I have been enjoying the wisdom of Jeremy Clarkson and sleeping for 14 hours a day.

OK, well I'm not sure how much more of ITV1's Loose Women I can take, thank goodness for E4's 24 hour Big Brother.

Oh Dear...[edit]

Look at today's featured article.... cap601 09:34, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Well Josh, the featured article doesn't have to be on something good... Although the quoted portion is from a rather biased viewpoint in favour of XP. Setokaiba 14:14, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Let me help you[edit]

It appears that you are going to write some Yu-Gi-Oh! articles but haven't gotten around to writing so let me help you write them.

Create an account and I will gladly let you help.

Why would I need an account?

It makes it easier to differentiate between your own edits and those of the people who share your IP. It also gives us a more convenient place to discuss things.

No, I've just been working on different sections to those you look at ;-)

Yu-Gi-Oh![edit]

Regarding English names as necessary, this corresponds to the general rule of "Use Common Names".

I use the English-language manga set for the original Yu-Gi-Oh! characters that appear in it because they appear in a variety of different stories and media with different naming conventions.. For instance, an entire TV show (Toei's show) was never released outside of Japan, while the second series made it out of Japan.

However, with GX, the convention is straightforward as the GX characters only appear in the anime series that is licensed by 4Kids. WhisperToMe 04:02, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yugioh Wikiproject[edit]

Is it just me or should Yugioh finally get its own Wikiproject. Go to my talk page and lets discuss this. I think there should be because of the low quality of some yugioh-related articles. What do you think? — Moe ε 15:55, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't contacted anyone else yet. If you could contact some other users that may be interested in joining, I can go ahead and create the Wikiproject page while you find people to join. — Moe ε 17:08, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I probably will join it, since I'm a fan of the original comics (Volumes 1 - 7). WhisperToMe 20:53, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Farewell[edit]

Dear Setokaiba,

Hello, It’s Moe Epsilon. I have contacted you about me leaving Wikipedia. This is a decision I do not favor but there are too many vandals and thick-headed people on Wikipedia for me to care anymore. I feel there is nothing I can give on Wikipedia that someone won’t criticize. I don’t feel any appreciation for what I have done. I thought if I could make any kind of an impact, I would. I wrote this to you because I was going to contact the nicest users I had talked to over my period on Wikipedia. Thank you for making my stay on Wikipedia a little better. I leave you as the leader of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikiproject. I know we both thought of it but I was the original one who came up with it, oh well, your the new leader. — Moe ε

Intermediate Latin?![edit]

Richard, you can barely speak a word of Latin. Sure, you can read it (to an intermediate level, grudgingly) but I challenge you to speak a intermediate conversation in Latin - to the same level as your intermediate French. Danny

Request (involving Yu-Gi-Oh! GX)[edit]

I've already been over this with WhisperToMe and he agrees with me, but we need some extra firepower.

A few days ago, Benten made a page for Kabayama, a very minor character who only appears in one episode and already has a mention in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX minor characters page. When I changed it to redirect it to the minor characters page, an anonymous user changed it back. Because of the three-revert rule, it's hard to keep reverting it whenever this user changes it back (he has multiple IPs so he can slide by the rule). So anyway, just please help us out by making it redirect again if you see it, and maybe the guy will finally get a clue. Thanks. Geg 18:03, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SNIyer12[edit]

I want to start an RfC regarding SNIyer12 constantly adding nonsense about a red rose in Zelda II to several Legend of Zelda-related articles.( This is a apparently a misguided attempt to draw a nonexistant parallel between Zelda and Briar Rose, seemingly a pet interest of his/hers.) Before we can go to RfC, at least 2 people need to attempt to contact the user on his/her talk page, which I have( and been ignored), but as the conflict isn't just between SNIyer12 and myself, I don't want to ask for a third opinion. Since you were the last registered user, other than myself, to revert one of these edits( see:[2]), I thought I would ask you to contact him/her. If he/she stops, great, if not, there will be grounds for a User-conduct RfC( since I can cite at least a dozen instances) and I will start one. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 22:26, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: I realize there's a risk of this being labelled trivial, but I'm willing to take that risk... Since SNIyer12 has been asked to stop or cite sources, I hope others will appreciate that it's an actual problem. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 22:26, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree; I'll deal with it tomorrow. This user is certainly stubborn. Setokaiba 23:05, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted his edits again, and left a reasonable note on his talk page. The ball's in his court now... Setokaiba 21:28, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I saw already. ;-) Btw, I think it's obstreperous, with two es rather than three os. And though I share the inclination that it's a stubborn male, probably young, too, I have seen no evidence to verify SNIyer12's sex or gender.-- WikidSmaht (talk) 21:34, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It spellchecked OK on Word, and refering to people on the Internet as "he" is a habit of mine. Setokaiba 21:51, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I checked a bunch of online dictionaries, they all say it's obstreperous. Then again, I doubt most people will notice. Heck, I wouldn't have, if It hadn't come up in my life recently. Anyway, thanks for the assist. :-) We'll see what happens. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 22:00, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He/she’s at it again. Do you want to construct the RfC or shall I? -- WikidSmaht (talk) 05:05, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: Apparently he/she has decided that now that it’s March, people who previously objected to his/her edits will no longer mind or simply won’t notice. Aside from the Zelda thing, he/she made an edit 11 days ago to Closings and cancellations following the September 11, 2001 attacks. Like the Zelda stuff, he/she had attempted to make this edit back in January and been reverted, then took a break before trying it again. Someone contacted him/her on his/her talk page about it( in the 3rd Archive, now), perhaps User:Skybunny would like to join our RfC. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 05:20, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[Dude? ]SNIyer12[ redux][edit]

You never responded... Will you help me with SNIyer12? He’s doing it again. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 20:45, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What do we have to do about this? I've been on holiday and forgotten about it (sorry...), so please remind me. This is certainly getting irritating, and vandalism seems to recently be on the increase, from newer, registered users as well as the normal anonymous idiots. Setokaiba 22:06, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We need to construct an RfC. Can’t do it alone because at least 2 users have to have tried to settle a single issue with the user. As I mentioned above in mid-March, other users having similar problems with him might be willing to help. CyberSkull also reverted the rose stuff in March and may be useful.
If he persists after an RfC we can get official Mediation and Arbitration, if it goes that far. At that point, he can be instantly blocked if he tries it. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 23:09, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rules of the Lab[edit]

1) If an experiment works, something has gone wrong. 2) When you don't know what you're doing, do it neatly. 3) Experiments must be reproduceable, they should fail the same way each time. 4) First draw your curves, then plot your data. 5) Experience is directly proportional to equipment ruined. 6) Always keep a record of your data. It indicates that you have been working. 7) To do a lab really well, have your report done well in advance. 8) If you can't get the answer in the usual manner, start at the answer and derive the question. 9) In case of doubt, make it sound convincing. 10) Do not believe in miracles--rely on them. 11) Team work is essential, it allows you to blame someone else. 12) All unmarked beakers contain fast-acting, extremely toxic poisons. 13) No experiment is a complete failure. At least it can serve as a negative example. 14) Any delicate and expensive piece of glassware will break before any use can be made of it.

Joke of the Day[edit]

No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:

1. They replicate quickly. ... Okay, Windows does that.

2. Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so. ... Okay, Windows does that.

3. Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk. ... Okay, Windows does that too.

4. Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. ... Sigh.. Windows does that, too.

5. Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. ... Yup, Windows does that, too.

Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences: Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.

So Windows is not a virus. ... It's a bug. Newmhost 16:40, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why the change?[edit]

Why did you change my contribution and alteration of the Zelda page. |as is clearly seen from the picture yet NOT noted in the article, is the fact she losses female chracteristics, such as breasts. This SHOULD be noted, instead of the oh so carefull phrasing used, without any clear indication of what the problem is.

The problem, as you may have noticed from the discussion further down, is that it is unclear whether Zelda does or does not change to a male as Sheik, therefore it is so unclear as to be misleading. As such, the strong wording that you used is inappropriate in this case. It is also obvious, from your placement of this comment on my user page, rather than my talk page, that you are unaware of certain Wikipædia policies. As such, please read some of these before changing other things. Setokaiba 12:45, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Kaiba.sk.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Kaiba.sk.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. Proposed deletion of Yugi Mutou[edit]

The article Yugi Mutou has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (biographies)/Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) requirements. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Yugi Mutou for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Yugi Mutou is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yugi Mutou until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:45, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
