Womanfriend[edit]

  • Hi Micah. I'm interested in the term you described at girlfriend, "womanfriend". Do you have any more information about it (who first used it, people who endorse its use, that sort of thing)? Cheers, Slac speak up! 23:15, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • The term womanfriend has been around at least since the feminist revolution of the 1970s and is used by many men and women feminists as an alternative to what they see as the degrading or at least inaccurate alternative term girlfriend. EdwinHJ | Talk 21:01, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
      • I understand this. It'd be cool if we could get some kind of source for it though. My impression is that it's not terribly widespread - so if we have some source, some examples of use, it helps to prove it exists and defines its sphere of usage. M, Can you take a look at this page? How is the intro paragraph? Thanks EdwinHJ | Talk 18:40, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Would you please speak to your friend Edwin about repeatedly removing the reference to the sex abuse settlment form the Lutheran page.It make it look like he's trying to hide it. So long as it remians the largest church sex abuse settment in the U.S. it is notable to include in the article. Further more if thinks the page should be include in a seperate article via link, he should create the article and move the text ther himself rather than delete it from the article. I'd speak to him myself, but am in such a fowl mood I might say something unwarranted or unkind. Thanks. -JCarriker 21:33, July 9, 2005 (UTC)

New user category[edit]

I have created a couple of new user categories modeled after UK Wikipedians. One of them is for our generation, born in the 1980s or 1990s. Please consider listing yourself under Category:Millenial Wikipedians Thanks. -JCarriker 18:46, July 13, 2005 (UTC)

SLP & UWEC[edit]

hahaha. you wikilinked SLP to Jewish. I mean "St. Jewish Park". Anyways. Have you been keeping track of the edits to UWEC? The pix are cool, but I'm wondering whether or not I'm the only one who might be worried about copyvios on them. Tomer TALK 09:26, July 17, 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the talk info. By the way, is there a way to fix the history where I was logged out when I posted a bunch material. I thoguth I was logged in but I guess I timed out. I posted a bunch of stuff to dig under the IP 24.179.66.98 before I realised I was logged out. Drderail 15:34, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Rush Limbaugh[edit]

I looked over the discussion on the talk page, and it seems to me that the consensus is that the material should stay, and a single anon is constantly removing it (just as you stated on my talk page). If it continues, make a request for page protection, or if the anon violates 3RR, have him blocked. Actually, I think the issue could be considered disruption and the anon warned for vandalism. Mention it at the RfC and see what the others think. If consensus develops to block for disruption, I'll be happy to enforce the consensus. -- Essjay · Talk 04:43, August 3, 2005 (UTC)

Just relax there Micah, 198 and 130 are my pages. I've read the rules and am on board now. Sheesh.

So do I have your permission to delete my old pages or will I get my ass kicked again? lol AFethke 12:29, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
