Based on Action Stations and the Price of Freedom novel, it would appear that the Senate representatives are elected on the basis of planets rather than systems. It is possible that higher representatives for systems, quadrants and sectors exist, but at any rate we do not see them, and thus their existance should be considered unofficial and non-canon.

As for the name, there is actually some debate over the proper term for the Confederation legislature ... various sources refer to it as: the Great Assembly, the Terran Confederation Congress, and the Terran Confederation Senate. Since the highest medal that can be given to a Confed soldier is the Senatorial Medal of Honor, I have chosen Senate as the proper name. Bob McDob 14:04, 9 Apr 2004 (UTC)

I must disagree with the ranks displayed on this page. Colonel Blair is not a member of the Navy, but rather the marines/space forces fighter wing (as evident by his title of Captain in earlier games commanding much less respect than Captain in the Navy, such as Captain Eisen of the Victory), however, he is given the title of Commodore in WC: Prophecy. Blair started out in the Space Force. He was promoted to General at some point following the events of WC IV (either immediately after the game, or after he spent a few years training pilots, depending on which ending of WC IV you prefer). Then, following that, he transferred his commission to the Navy - at Paladin's request - to work on the Super Carrier program. As such, he was now a Commodore and no longer a General. There isn't a whole lot of information here. And virtually nothing has been cited to independent sources so most of it is just a rehash of novels and instruction manuals. Support merge. There is no notability of this topic as a stand-alone article. It also makes no claims to be notable on its own. However, it does have some interesting and sourced bits, so merger is most likely the best course.
