Nice figure

Nice figure, but an error

Are plant known as lower life forms? This seems to be from an animal centric POV. There are higher and lower plants, as there are higher and lower animals. I don't think the hierarchy is meant to comparre between animal and plants. David D. (Talk) 22:16, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Userpage -moz-border-radius

I don't know if you know this already, but the -moz-border tag is a mozilla firefox specific style, ie. internet explorer does not display the round corners. This isnt a problem for small radiuses, but large radiuses can have display problems in other browsers, and unfortunately do on your user page. your brassica image is incorrect

Dear Adenosine, the brassica image is showing the plants as if they were haploids. This is incorrect. I understand what you mean but I don't think it is too much of an issue here. The diagram was not intended just to convey inter-relatedness in the brassica group. Maybe it is a diagram of the DNA in pollen? Or maybe it is the DNA of a haploid genome so that genetic redundancy isn't too confusing (that's what I had in mind). I'd be happy to redesign it if you could suggest a elegant way to design a more accurate model Adenosine^talk 19:20, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Calvin cycle scheme

Carbon dioxide is not a substrate for PEPC as it is shown in this diagram. CO₂ is first converted to a bicarbonate ion which PEPC adds to PEP. Could you update the diagram to show this please? Maybe add in carbonic anhydrase too as this converts the carbonic acid > HCO3-. Good work otherwise though! If you're feeling like it, it would be better if the cells were joined rather than as separate entities. The substrates are all transported between cells through plasmodesmata, rather than diffusing through the membrane. Let me know if this doesn't make sense. Suggestion of Correction to the image on DNA Replication Modes

About File:DNAreplicationModes.png. I suppose there might be something wrong with the depiction of dispersive mode. It is, at present, shown that in dispersive mode of replication each strand of a DNA molecule has been paired with that of the same property (e.g., a newly synthesized fragment paired with again a newly synthesized fragment, i.e., thin red with thin red, and red with red). However, M. Delbrück had indicated that each strand in itself has alternating patterns of original and new nucleotides..

Therefore, I would suggest a correction of each duplex of dispersive mode accordingly, in which every strand has patterns of red and thin red following each other and paired reciprocally with the opposite pattern, i.e., thin red with red and vice versa.

Although it may not be of much importance, since it still gains the insight to understanding the Meselson-Stahl experiment, I'm afraid it is not the actual representation of dispersive model proposed by Delbrück.
