ViewVC and POSIX[edit]

Hi there. You recently made this edit to the ViewVC page with the edit summary "* windows capable and probably MacOS too". I thought you might like to know that POSIX actually covers both of these operating systems. --TheParanoidOne 20:24, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your efforts, but I must disappoint you. Unfortunately Windows is not POSIX-compatible by default - look at these comments. ViewVC works ok on Windows 2003 installation without "Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX 3.5" - not a POSIX case definitely.

Speedy deletion of Template:University taxobox[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:University taxobox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Proposed deletion of Overall Equipment Effectiveness[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Overall Equipment Effectiveness, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. File permission problem with File:Spyder logo.svg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Spyder logo.svg, which you've sourced to http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/source/browse/img_src/spyder-title.svg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
