Altruism[edit]

Hey. I noticed a small curiosity on your user page, namely Theoretically I am an altruist, but I am him only by word, not by acting. ;). Did you notice that by language interference (Polish on being used for every noun and that..) you used "him" for an abstract concept, probably unconsciously, but English doesn't do that, "he" only refers to a living being. I know you listed your English as on the "level 2", but don't worry, you seem to be doing nicely otherwise, judging by the same page - so don't be taken aback. I just wanted to know if you were aware of what you wrote, and think it's an interesting case.

I would write that sentence simply as "Theoretically I am an altruist, but only by word, not by my actions.".

Do you know the PUFFY song Hajimari no Uta? It translates as Nice Buddy right??? Well how come the Do As Infinity song Shinjitsu no Uta translates as TRUE SONG? Wouldn't Hajimari no Uta translate as "Buddy Song" or "Friend Song." Correct me if I'm wrong O.K.

Actually, what you see is what you get. :o) I made sure all the code could simply fit on one page so anyone could download it and/or view the source at any time. Unspecified source for Image:Crashday logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Crashday logo.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Greetings! I found your tool that shows 1000 articles with no interwiki links in Wikimedia projects given certain criteria. That's great, because it gives one a bit more options than the standard Special:WithoutInterwiki list, which is also limited to 1000 entries but only lists them alphabetically. I wonder, however, if it would be possible to implement a feature that would let one see articles beginning with certain letters or combination of letters, as well?--Morel (talk) 03:26, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is in reference to a relatively new umbrella article on en-wikipedia named Ceremonial pole. Ceremonial pole is a human tradition since ancient times; either existed in past at some point of time, or still exists in some cultures across global continents from north to south & from east to west. Ceremonial poles are used to symbolize a variety of concepts in several different world cultures.

Through article Ceremonial pole we intend to take encyclopedic note of cultural aspects and festive celebrations around Ceremonial pole as an umbrella article and want to have historical, mythological, anthropological aspects, reverence or worships wherever concerned as a small part.

While Ceremonial poles have a long past and strong presence but usually less discussed subject. Even before we seek translation of this article in global languages, we need to have more encyclopedic information/input about Ceremonial poles from all global cultures and languages. And we seek your assistance in the same.
